Main Continents of the World
This gives a bare bones general overview of each of the continents. This will be better organized in the future.
Anodunia is a continent that is frozen solid. It used to be a teeming, lush green landscape. It froze in its entirety overnight as the tilt of the world shifted subtly, causing the capital of Anodunos to be sealed beneath a glacier.
Ashtalarea is a land of knights and noble warriors. It has a number of rings of power granted to rulers.
Atarka was once a lush landscape. Now it is a desert wasteland. Great airships travel across it to connect points of greenery in the devastation. Floating castles seem to be a staple of this land, as well. It shares land mass with Balema.
Balema is a land of violet skies and harsh people, disciplined into steel by the difficulty of the lands. Some liken it to a blasted wasteland, devastated by the ravages of the Avatars that called it home. It shares land mass with Atarka.
Deruvia is a vast pair of continents connected by a landbridge. A great evil, the demon Dreax, once created many dark beings here and embarked on a campaign of slaughter, but was beaten back and sealed into a magic everburning candle.
Ferrah supposedly is where iron was first worked. It didn’t matter. It’s oppressed brutally to this day, the best magical academies in the world turned into ghost towers and the best fighting academies turned into gladiatorial pits.
Gurtex is said by some to be the home of demons. A great number of Avatars lived here, some four and forty of them, and were responsible for a great many deeds in their era. That era was thousands of years ago, however. Connected nominally to Deruvia, being to the east of it.
Morgaelin is plunged into eternal night as the sun was stolen from it. Where did the sun go, and how did the immortal Titans ruling over it accomplish this feat?
Novia is where the campaign currently takes place. It is a land that once believed strongly in virtue. It is currently oppressed by the dictator Blackthorne and his dread armies. His lieutenants are the Shadowlords. A faith known as the Fellowship has risen in the absence of virtues and it offers succor at a price.
Qin may have been the origin point of dragons before they spread throughout the world. An unbroken five thousands years of culture resides on this continent, stretching back to the first Qin Emperor.
Rhiannon used to be a place of almost fae-like bent, full of elves.
Serpent Isle is a land consisting of a deep philosophy surrounding the concept of three serpents that maintain the balance of the universe. That civilization long since fell, but colonists have discovered evidence of this old culture.
Solian Lands are a humid archipelago of a paradise. Monstrous humanoids, chief among them orcs and goblins, have formed their own unique societies in these lands. Connected nominally to Deruvia, being to the southeast of it.
Tarna is the goblin homeland. It used to be a harmonious place where humans and goblins lived together. Now, goblins enslave everyone and kill anyone who questions it.
Tarq is rumored to be the dwarven homelands before dwarves traveled throughout the world. Other rumors abound of an amazonian nation and of lizardfolk having their own nations on this continent.
Ter Mur is the great Underworld, the land far below our feet. Most other worlds would call it the Underdark. The gargoyles consider this their homeland, but other denizens have also claimed it.
Tokuno Isles are the islands that originated Bushido. They are extremely close to the continent of Qin, but their culture is distinct enough to give them a special mention.
Wrenn is a continent marked by a myriad number of cultures who all utilize Davinciesque technologies, a post-Elizabethan identity, and a continuous renaissance of ideas.
