Naga (Yuan-ti)

Refugees from the ophidian civilization that fell, naga are the result of magical merging of humans with the lower parts of a snake. They are extremely rarely seen outside of Serpent Isle. They tend to use arrows laced with potent venom. They follow odd virtue-beliefs surrounding the concepts of Order, Chaos, and Balance. Most people consider this to be a bizarre interpretation of the Law/Chaos axis, but naga don’t seem to think that’s the case.

Your naga has the following racial traits.
Ability Score Increase. Your Charisma score increases by 2, and your Intelligence score increases by 1.
Age. Naga mature at the same rate as humans and have lifespans similar in length to theirs.
Alignment. Naga tend to be heartless creatures that once had a beautiful, sprawling empire. Now part of the Serpent Scales, as they call it, they see the world much more darkly than before. They tend towards Neutral Evil.
Size. Naga match humans in average size and weight. Your size is Medium.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 120 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Bite. Your fanged mouth is a natural weapon, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with it, you deal piercing damage equal to 1d4 + your Strength modifier.
Innate Spellcasting. You know the poison spray cantrip. You can cast animal friendship and speak to animals an unlimited number of times with this trait, but you can target only snakes with both of these spells. Starting at 3rd level, you can also cast suggestion with this trait. Once you cast it, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells.
Poison Resilience. You have advantage on saving throws against poison effects and you have resistance to poison damage.
Sunlight Sensitivity. You have disadvantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks when you or whatever you are trying to perceive is in direct sunlight (or the equivalent).
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and Ophidian.
